The main focus of my thumbnail sketches was to create different layouts that would orient the words and photos in a symmetric way. In the beginning it was difficult to generate different ideas, but as the first few came together I found myself able to visualize what I wanted my final page to look like. The more time I spent thinking about it, the easier it was to generate different thumb nail designs. This would help to make the page look organized allowing the eye to be attracted to different components of the page. Thumbnails #2, #7, and #10 are my top ones based on how the header is arranged in relation to the graphics and the text. Once the text is inserted in the final project it will be easier to see which layout looks best based on the amount of text.

Wk02 Rock, Paper, Scissor
This is my first game design post. The purpose was to create different graphic that could display the description and rules of Rock, Paper, Scissors enhanced by different graphic designs. This project was a great intro on how to think through different ideas and designs.
The main focus of my thumbnail sketches was to create different layouts that would orient the words and photos in a symmetric way. Once the text is inserted in the final project it will be easier to see which layout looks best based on the amount of text.
While looking for different graphic designs my main focus was to find a few with different shapes. Although they are all square, the graphic itself comes as differnt triangles, vertical, or horizantal images. This will add different perspective to my final project. The vertical image could be used as a boarder around the page, while using the horizantal and traingular shapes in relation to the text. Once the text is added it will be easier to pair a graphic image. Also, there are many different colors of each graphic design.Pairing different graphics with similar colors will provide better ascetics to my visual design. However, my top images are image #1, #3, and #6 because I wanted to use animated graphics, not the graphics with realistic human hand images. Once the page is put together it will be easier to see how the different shapes of the graphic enhance the texted provided.

Awesome thumbnails! I also really like the layout of your blog. Your thumbnails are very creative and I can't wait to see what your final product is!
ReplyDeleteI really like your thumbnails number 7 and 10 because in 7 you have great combinations of words and pictures, and your header is really out and it catches the eye. In 10, you can make each part a different part of the game, and it would be very interesting to look at. The cartoony image style also looks interesting because it would definitely catch the eyes of younger audiences.
ReplyDeleteThe images you chose are new, looks like you took your time choosing them. Also your thumbnails are really cool the change of the position of the header is something really creative and innovative.
ReplyDeleteI like how your header isn't just at the top and you have it in different layouts for each thumbnail.
ReplyDeleteI really like the last layout it seems the most interesting and eye popping. You have a very good idea going on and putting it all together will be very interesting.
ReplyDeleteVinny Destefano- i like the idea of the animated hands, because it gives a better feel as a game.
ReplyDeleteBy putting the header in different it really changes the who feeling of each thumbnail. The 7th is also nice in its vertical symmetry which would be pleasing to look at with some of the more cartoon like pictures.
ReplyDeletei also like the last one. i also like how you took your time with everything and my favorite thing was the lucha libre rock paper scissors.
ReplyDeleteI like your last thumbnail it something I never thought to do with that with the header and it is unique.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fun and playful which is pretty cool to use for instruction. I also like your last layout and how you played with the heading.
